CREATE Foundation

Inspiring and preparing the youth of today to become the engineers and scientists of tomorrow. Through accessible, compelling, and safe robotics competitions, CREATE empowers students to learn, lead, and grow.

About Us

The CREATE Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting educational organizations, students, teachers, and mentors in advancing STEM education. Formed with the belief that compelling and engaging technology education is essential to our future, the Foundation supports robotics competitions that provide a unique, fun, and challenging year-round experience.

These sports-like, head-to-head robotics events not only deepen students’ technical knowledge but also strengthen teamwork, communication, and leadership skills. Headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, CREATE hosts workshops, seminars, scrimmages, and tournaments—including our signature event, the CREATE U.S. Open Robotics Championship.

CREATE also leads international cultural exchange initiatives. Through summer and winter camps, international teams join U.S. students for cross-cultural learning that enhances language skills, technical abilities, and global understanding.

As a primarily volunteer-driven organization, CREATE is governed by a Board of Directors and guided by an Advisory Board—each composed entirely of dedicated volunteers from across the United States.

Programs

CREATE offers a family of programs that engage students of all ages in hands-on robotics and technology challenges.

CREATE Junior robotics

CREATE Junior

Entry-level robotics for grade school students.

CREATE Junior is an entry level program aimed at grade school students, primarily in 4th–6th grades. Students design their own unique robotic inventions and compete in alliances while learning technology and collaboration skills.

More CREATE Initiatives

CREATE International

CREATE International highlights our international teams and collaborations. Summer and winter robotics camps bring together students from around the world for a cross-cultural learning experience.

CREATE Support

CREATE Support focuses on VRC and other VEX-based competitions, offering cost-reducing programs and resources to help organizers and teams inspire the technology leaders of tomorrow.

Volunteers Make It Possible

The CREATE Foundation and the robotics competitions it supports are made possible by the contributions of many dedicated volunteers. With their generous support, students experience life-changing opportunities in STEM, teamwork, and leadership.

Whether you are a mentor, coach, event organizer, or event volunteer, your contribution helps today’s students prepare for productive careers tomorrow.

Mentors

Mentors share their technical talents, often supporting more than one team. They bring real-world engineering experience from a wide range of disciplines, guiding students through design, building, and problem-solving.

Coaches

Coaches are the glue that helps teams form and work together. They do not need a technical background—many are parents, teachers, or other adults who want to help students participate and grow.

Event Organizers

Event organizers play a key role in the robotics season. They plan and host regional and national tournaments, coordinating logistics and recruiting volunteers to create memorable events.

Event Volunteers

Event volunteers fill the many roles that make tournaments run smoothly. Judges, referees, registration helpers, queuing leads, practice-field facilitators, and technical support all work together to bring each event to life.

Please join us and help today’s students prepare for tomorrow. To get involved or learn more about volunteer opportunities, contact us at Support@CREATE-Found.org.
